vastMove WMS is a Software As A Service (SAAS), cloud-based n-tier enterprise solution. It covers the management of all operational activities in the warehouse, as well as all the health and safety considerations to ensure safe handling and storage of chemical materials including dangerous goods.

Safety First

vastMove WMS has system controls that ensure, at all times, that warehouse workers acknowledge and confirm the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for handling a particular substance before tasks are executed. 

Only qualified and trained personnel can be assigned related warehouse tasks. The solution manages the necessary training required for each activity, as well as the training records for each warehouse worker.

Inventory Control & Traceability

vastMove WMS provides real-time inventory tracking from the moment that stock is received into the warehouse right through it is dispatched out.  The solution supports all stock rotation mechanisms, including FIFO, FEFO, FLFO, LIFO, LEFO, LLFO…etc.

To ensure stock availability for planned maintenance or promised sales, vastMove WMS provides a comperhensive material reservation system, which has different levels of reservation mechanisms (Quick, Long-term, and Batch specific).

Operational Excellence

vastMove WMS supports a variety of inbound and outbound planning notes to drive operational efficiency in the warehouse. Items such as Purchase Order, Transfer Order, Return Order, Sales Order, Maintenance Order, Transfer Order, Return Orders…etc., come with their own types of information and process flows. The solution leverages industry best practices to efficiently manage these flows in order to achieve timely results and maximize the overall warehouse productivity.

vastMove WMS supports a variety of inbound planning documents including inbound planning from a Purchase Order, Transfer Order, Return Order…etc. Each inbound type might have its own types of information or process flows. All inbound planning documents are created in the system as Inbound Note objects. They can be created manually, or automatic via integrations with the source systems like ERP, Asset Management system, POS...etc.

An inbound note can be received on one or more shipments, with clear tracking of deliveries and open quantities. Each shipment is created in the system as an Advance Shipping Notice (ASN), which captures all logistics information related to the shipment (Truck details, Driver details, container, line items…etc.).

vastMove WMS comes with multiple options of process flows depending on the nature of the products, and the capabilities of the warehouse. In addition to these default options, customers can create their own process flows through its dynamic Process Designer.

Inbound operations is a core module. The following list summarizes some of its features:

  • Truck safety checklist, Offloading, Receiving, Inspection / validation, and putaway.
  • Lottables Concept - Capturing of special Information on a batch level (i.e. Weight, Expiry Date, Country of Origin, Bill of Entry, Date/time of Arrival, etc.) while ensuring that the user definable shelf life requirements are maintained.

An effective incident management system requires the ability to establish command and control and move the management of the response from the initial reactive mode to one where the scope of the incident is understood, appropriate response actions are taken in alignment with response strategies, and where the outcome of the incident is driven by a clear set of objectives to protect people and the environment.

vastMove WMS orchestrates the incident reporting, investigating and closing. It ensures all corrective and preventive actions are timely met through its automated follow-up and reminders.

In case of emergency, vastMove WMS leverages its rules engine to control and/or stop the flow of operations whenever needed, and notifies the concerned Emergency Response Team (ERT) by various means of communication.

vastMove WMS offers a Gate Pass system that manages the visitor lifecycle to the site/warehouse. It prevents the entry of unauthorized vehicles to the premises. The module offers comprehensive tools for security officers to ensure they are, at all time, updated with visitor’s information and their purpose of visit.  

Having safety always in mind, the solution keeps track of all entered vehicles. Such record is important for security personnel in cases like emergency or evacuation.

Dashboards and Insights

vastMove WMS provides smart tools that customers use to track and analyze KPIs and business metrics from several data feeds.
